Nancy Carr

Nancy Carr joined the Kingston Handloom Weavers and Spinners in 1998 when she started alpaca farming and wanted to learn how to spin their fleece. A knitter since early childhood, she was interested in raising animals for their fleece. Beginning with the Introductory Spinning Course, she's taken many spinning workshops, including those led by Doreen Jeffers and Beth Abbott.

As well, she has given workshops on Spinning Alpaca, and Knitting Double-Knit Maritime Mitts using handspun yarn to both the KHWS Guild and at the Ontario Handspinning Seminar.

She's been hosting the November Spinners Get-Together for many years and has taken on a few leadership roles, including President and Past-president.
